Start with a shipment brief

A useful Tianjin / Xingang export plan begins before the freight enquiry. Write down what is shipping, which port the buyer expects and when the cargo will be ready. This brief gives your sales team, forwarding contact and buyer a common starting point.

Tianjin Global Freight focuses on Tianjin-origin container export enquiries for the Middle East, Red Sea, Africa and South America. The following workflow is a preparation checklist; each booking still needs its own confirmation.

1. Confirm the destination and trading arrangement

Ask the buyer for the exact discharge port and country. A city, country or regional label can leave important details unresolved. For example, a Gulf destination and a Red Sea destination in the same country are separate routing enquiries.

Record the agreed trade terms and identify which party is arranging each part of transport. If the final destination is inland, give that city separately from the discharge port and ask whether the inland movement is part of the requested quote.

2. Describe the container and cargo requirements

Provide the container type, quantity, commodity, cargo weight and expected readiness. If you have not chosen equipment yet, explain the cargo and packing situation rather than guessing a box type.

  • Equipment request: 20' GP, 40' GP or 40' HC, with quantities.
  • Cargo information: description, weight and packing details.
  • Planning window: cargo-ready date and preferred departure period.
  • Special circumstances: identify them early so acceptance can be checked.

3. Compare the full quotation scope

Before choosing an offer, check that quotations describe the same origin, destination and equipment. Ask for the included and excluded charges, currency, rate validity and offered routing. A headline ocean freight figure may not describe every service in the shipment.

State whether your request is ocean freight only or includes other origin arrangements. Confirm the named party responsible for each service before the booking proceeds.

4. Check the booking and information handover

After reviewing an offer, obtain the booking confirmation and check the carrier, routing, equipment, relevant deadlines and operational instructions with the responsible provider. An enquiry or a prepared email is not a confirmed booking.

Agree who provides cargo details, who checks the shipping information and who communicates with the consignee. Document requirements depend on the actual shipment and destination; confirm them with the responsible parties.

5. Keep the buyer and destination agent aligned

Share confirmed shipment information and subsequent updates with the appropriate trading and forwarding contacts. Before the cargo arrives, confirm the destination handover arrangements with the consignee or appointed agent.
